Pateley playwright, Keith Burton's latest one act play gained first place in the Nidderdale & District Drama Festival.  The play was performed by the Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society's senior team and won the Eva Houseman Trophy for Best Play against fierce competition.

The play went on to compete in the semi-final of the All-England Theatre Festival by winning the Ripon and Pateley Bridge RDC Challenge Trophy.

Michael Thorne, Brad Pollard & Tim Wilkinson 

 

 

In addition, Jenny MacNair was awarded the Alan Lyons Cup for Best Actress.

And further recognition was gained by Brad Pollard who was awarded the David Crumpton Memorial Cup Adjudicator's Discretionary Award.

As well as the above there were nominations for awards as follows:

Best Stage Decor, Artistic Originality, Michael Thorne and Brad Pollard for Best Actor and Heather Appleton for Best Actress.

 

The team went forward to the semi-final in Washington, Tyne and Wear, on the 4th and 5th May.  Many congratulations to all involved.
