Ghost Walk

"We had a great evening on Friday on a Ghost Walk around Pateley Bridge.  The ever-imaginative members of Pateley Bridge Dramatic Society devised and narrated a series of spine-chilling tales during an early evening walk around the town.  Drawing on local history and folklore (with some embellishments!), a series of mysterious, becloaked guides took a small party of us around some interesting and historic sites in Pateley, including the churchyard, workhouse and old railway station.  Many of the tales were accompanied by fleeting glimpses of phantom figures portrayed in the tale, adding to the eerie atmosphere.  A perfect event for Halloween, especially with a full moon!  Thanks, and well done to everyone involved."
