Panto season is upon us and the Society will be taking to the stage with their customary verve this coming February as they perform ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ Brimming with humour, heart, and classic pantomime sparkle, this famous tale delivers a joyful experience for all ages on a cold winters night. Audiences can expect a stunning set, a laugh-out-loud script, catchy songs to sing along to, beautiful costumes and somewhere, a beanstalk.
The festive extravaganza will be produced and directed by Peter Buller, one of the Society’s most skilled actors and directors, who has expertly brought together a talented cast of youth and experience.
Peter says, “I’m so excited to bring these wonderful characters to life on the Pateley stage in this classic English fairytale. The story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ has ancient origins and is such a well-known and beloved story, and I’m certain this fantastic adaptation will delight audience members from start to finish.”
The performances will be held in the Pateley Bridge Playhouse from Friday 13th –Sunday 15th February and again from Wednesday 18th – Sunday 22nd February. There will be matinee performances on the Saturday and Sunday of both weekends, starting at 2.30pm. All evening performances will start at 7.30pm. Tickets will be £12 for adults and £7 for children. Tickets are on sale from 9th January onwards and bookings will be from the website.
