Yarn Bombers: A Comic Tale of Rebellion and Friendship

In the tranquil Blue Day Room at Bleak House Care Home, three unlikely rebels are quietly plotting a revolution. Freddie, Grace, and Harriet—each renowned for their sharp wit and passion for knitting — are  horrified to learn that their beloved high street haberdashery is soon to be shut down.  The culprit? Mayor Amy Spry, whose ambitious plans threaten the very heart of their community.  Determined not to let this happen, the trio resolves to act, armed with their needles and an unwavering spirit.

Their chosen method of resistance is both inventive and defiant: Yarn Bombing.  With this colourful, woolly protest, they aim to make a statement that will capture the attention of the entire town — and ensure the Mayor cannot ignore their cause.

Secret Missions and Colliding Fates

While the Blue Day Room Gang craft their masterpiece in secret, another struggle is taking place within the walls of Bleak House.  Fiona, the care home manager, is desperately seeking Mayor Spry’s favour in a bid to prevent the closure of Bleak House itself.  These two clandestine missions inevitably collide during a disastrous press event, the aftermath of which threatens to leave everyone, residents and staff alike, homeless.

With everything hanging in the balance, a long-hidden secret from one resident’s past surfaces. It’s a revelation that might save the day.  But does it?
